The Society of St. Vincent de Paul is an international, volunteer, Catholic-lay organization comprised of about 645,000 men and women in over 135 countries, whose objective is to visit those in need in their homes.  The aim of the Society is to bring social justice and the friendship of true charity to all those in need.

The Society is named after St. Vincent de Paul whose life mission was devoted to helping the underprivileged.  He is the patron saint of Christian Charity.

Vincentians show their compassion and understanding by giving themselves – their concerns, their friendship, their time, and their talents - to help people regardless of their creed, race, or political belief.  Great care is taken to preserve the dignity of the person served.  Vincentians do not preach or convert, nor do they attach any conditions to their aid.

Our Mission:

Our Conference collaborates with other churches and agencies to provide relief for those in need of aid and to address its causes.  We make no distinction in those we serve, because in them, Vincentians see the face of Christ.

The St. Bede Conference:

The Society of St. Vincent de Paul at St. Bede Church serves those in need in Grant Township as well as any St. Bede parishioner.

Our meetings are held on the second and fourth Wednesdays of the month in the evening from 7-8:30pm. The meetings are used for prayer and discussion of clients’ needs as well as deciding our response to those needs. We also plan other activities as advocates for the poor.

Contact Us:

If you are interested and want to learn more about serving Christ through His Poor please call St. Vincent de Paul at (224) 360-2562.

Donations:

All donations are used directly to help those in need. If you would like to make a donation please send a check or money order made out to The Society of St. Vincent de Paul and send it to:
